Funan Techo Canal (Cambodia)

China is backing the construction of a 180-kilometer canal connecting Phnom Penh to the Gulf of Thailand. 

This will give Cambodia direct access to the sea, reducing reliance on Vietnamese ports and creating a faster, independent trade route.

These agreements focus on improving trade and logistics, with plans for:

• Port upgrades to handle more cargo and improve shipping efficiency
